Redland Mews is a small Boarding Cattery situated in a large and beautiful garden in a quiet residential area of North Bristol. We have only six pens, so can give full and friendly attention to every cat in our care. The accommodation is constructed of natural varnished wood with homely vinyl floors. Each pen is large enough to hold up to 3 or 4 cats (from the same household), and mums with kittens are welcome. Generous heating is provided as needed. We keep stocks of all the popular varieties of cat food and treats, and some luxury foods such as chicken breasts, salmon, tuna and pilchards, as well as fresh and evaporated milk. Any special diet can be provided, usually at no extra cost. There is a fully equipped kitchen with electricity, mains water and drainage. The cattery is, of course, LICENSED, has full FIRE and HEALTH approval, and is protected by a comprehensive security system. We do not have 'open' and 'closed' times but work to specific appointments so you can arrange to bring and to collect your cat at any time of the day or night. Please feel free to park on, or across, our driveway. Cats do seem happier to be settled-in by their owners but, if you prefer, we can collect and deliver. Our Boarding Fees & Contact info  include everything your cat will need during its stay but you are welcome to bring any favourite toys or odds and ends your cat seems particularly to enjoy! Your pets may, of course, be visited by a friend while you are away, and we will gladly try to pass on to your cats any telephone messages or holiday postcards from you! As we are small and extremely popular, we do suggest that you check availability of holiday accommodation for your cat before you book your own! If your cat should become ill whilst in our care, the Redland Mews' Veterinary Surgeon, or your vet will be called at once. All veterinary treatment is then at his or her absolute discretion and at the owner's expense, but our insurance scheme may be able to help with such costs. For the benefit of all, a current vaccination certificate is normally essential. (In a genuine emergency it may be possible to accept a cat into our isolation unit pending vaccination at the cattery).

Some older cats may prefer to be looked after in their own homes, particularly if they have not previously been to a cattery..  This is also generally suitable for short periods, and it saves the cat having to be transported to and from a cattery.  We can recommend Karen, a qualified veterinary nurse who loves cats, and Joanna  who is a professional carer.

Important!  For the year 2016 we plan again to be open normally

                                       only during extended School Holidays.

But even best laid plans of cats and men can change so please ask.
